The Minister of Agro -Industry and Fishing Arvin Boolell explained that the Seafood Hub has many aspects. The Seafood Hub contains industrial fishing, fish farming and also to export seafoods products. Hon Minister Arvin Boolell have a master plan to open the way to other type of aquaculture and announced that a promoter is embarking on the production of a new species named "Barramundi" at Petite Rivière.
Princes Tuna ,employed over 2,000 people and has its own canning factory. The Princes tuna seeking to cut cost and increase the production . Princes tuna buys its frozen tuna from european vessels in Seychelles. The Princes tuna factory cleaned and cooked the tuna before canned , for exportation.
After cleaning ,cooking the tuna is canned and ready for the exportation
